"Just a Glimpse"

Let's take a time out from my amazingly perfect life for a moment.......to say that my life isn't perfect.

It's time to be real, simply, because I don't like fake people.
Nobody wants to be friends with someone that is fake and unrelatable (spell check said this is not a word, whatev's).

Stress.

There's not many things I hate, but stress?
I HATE.

I swear it is the devil's biggest tool. It comes in so many different forms and has so many different effects. I'm not big on statistics because, frankly, I don't know what source is credible these days.
But with my little knowledge, I know that stress can cause a lot of things.

It kills.

It kills you physically.
It kills you mentally.
It kills you socially.
It kills you spiritually.

It kills you.

But we all experience it, daily, in some way. Basically, we dream about growing up into adults with these big plans of all the wonderful things we're going to do. All these magical things we will see and feel. Hearing our families tell us we can be anything we want with hard work and dedication.
WE ARE GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD!!

And then I get to said adulthood and quite frankly, most days I don't feel like I'm qualified.
I never went to college. Just another hard lesson learned.
But I don't feel like I can't achieve some dreams because of it. Maybe not all....although, being a superstar doesn't sound so fabulous anymore. Thankful I was never discovered. ;) lol

But seriously, I work hard. I dedicate myself to anything I get my hands on. No matter how much I've wanted to, I have never given up.....knowing that I would feel better about myself on the other side.
But a lot of times I don't. I feel like I'm stuck at this wall that is impossible to climb. The other side is so close, I can see it. But I'm just......stuck. Stuck watching everyone else already there.
I by no means compare myself to anyone else. Everyone walks their own path and I am happy for every single one of my friends that have fought their Earthly demons and won.
I just want to be over there too.

I know that there is not a single person walking this Earth that doesn't experience some form of stress.
I've come to terms with that.
I just want to catch a break.

Mercy, Lord!!!! Just a little mercy!!!

Stress is just so crippling. It effects everything!!
Some days it seems impossible just to get out of bed.
And then you have to shower, get ready for work, get kids ready for school, go to work, deal with people.......no! Just no!!

I know God has great things in store for us. I am confident and completely trust Him.

I just wish He would show me a glimpse, just a glimpse, of the light at the end of this never ending tunnel.

This post is short, mainly because I'm just too tired to try to arrange any more thoughts.
And because I hate complaining. My life really is a blessed one and I am thankful for so many things.

I just want peace.

Until then, I will continue to be faithful,
stop being a little whiny baby,
count the blessings I have.....

AND PRAY.

I'll Sleep When I'm Dead

We just got back into crazy school mode a couple of weeks ago......

Blah Blah Blah......

The kids were excited.

I love that....my kids being excited to start back to school. I hope that doesn't ever go away.
It makes it so much easier for the morning routine to go smoothly when there's no fighting over the destination.

Raise your hand if you hate back to school shopping.....

The lists, the backpacks, the lunchboxes, the prices, the shoes......oh, the shoes.
That's probably the one I hate the most. I'm not sure why because I love shoes. I'm a girl, it's in my DNA to love shoes. But for the kids? I just wish their feet would stop growing so that they could wear them longer than 6 months....maybe that's it, just knowing I'll have to do it all over again in six months....I don't know. Just not my favorite part.

But they sure looked adorable!

(please note: Braxton is the only one that wore said "new shoes" on the first day)
Whatev's...

Moving on....

I'm exhausted. Can't be more real than that.

Just tired.

It seems like my mind is in a million places every single day trying to keep up with
every. single. activity.
I don't seem to do it gracefully, but everyone manages to get where they need to be.....with a lot of help from my husband.

I bought a planner.....again. So far, I'm actually using it this time.
I guess it's helping.....to be continued....

Football season is in full swing. I don't hate it.
Now that I know what's going on on the field, I quite enjoy watching it. And bonus when I get to watch someone I know. That makes it even more fun.

Braxton has his very first football game this Saturday....oh, wait. That's tomorrow.
Thank you, planner....

He's beside himself excited. He's waited a while to finally get to play tackle football.

How can you deny that sweet little face the chance to be stomped, beaten and bruised.

Although he thought the pads and helmet were a magical barrier between himself and any actual pain, he has done very well at his practices. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

So, what's going on with us?

Work
School
Cheerleading
Band
Football
Ballet
And one of our last-minute weekend trips, which we are still recovering from last week.

Got to see one of Joe's closest friends and his adorable wife and kids. They are some of my favorite people and I'm so glad we FINALLY got to spend more than just a few hours with them.
And then we met a ton more "lakers". It's like one big happy family down there.
We had a blast and made some really fun memories.

Drive all night, play all day.
Because I'll sleep when I'm dead.

And our weekend lake shenanigans is what I will leave you with for now.

I was going to upload the videos I have of everyone tubing and jumping into the lake from a second story dock, but stupid blogger won't let me......maybe next time.
